Camping in Switzerland
I've been home now for almost four weeks and I needed to to something because our summer holidays are quite short, especially compared to the ones in the US so I went camping and it was awesome.
Yep, that was our luggage. We all had heavy backpacks and the tent was in five different bags so that was a lot to carry. I took this picture in the train, our luggage had an own compartment. It was too heavy to be put into the overhead compartments. We took the train from our town to the lake in the French part of Switzerland where we would be staying for the next few days.
There is the solution. We "borrowed" a shopping cart from the food store and put our luggage into the cart. From now on it was so much easier to walk. Now we had to find the campground (is that how it's called in English?), which wasn't easy. We asked some people but in the end we follwed the directions. That was a bad idea because the directions were made for cars, not for pedestrians. We ended up walking through two villages in order to get down to the lake. Luckily we had this nice shopping cart, I wouldn't have made it without it.
Setting up the tent...
First evening down at the lake. The lake's called "Lac Neuchâtel" in French or "Neuenburgersee" in German. We made an awesome fire and were out there until midnight or even longer, I don't know it exactly
waking up...
Waiting at the tram stop. Look at my sunglasses, aren't they awesome? Next to me: Lukas and Nadine and Gorky's foot. We took the tram to get to Neuchâtel where we bought food and of course we also went to H&M there
